What should you do on such a wonderful November day? Make bread of course! While this may look like an advertisement for Nutella, this is actually an advertisement for the little known Homemade Bread Day.
You may ask why do we need such a day? Well, its because people have not been baking their own bread as much, instead driving to the store for the pre-made and pre-sliced varieties. Bread baking has been a tradition for thousands of years for many cultures around the world but with the advent of sliced bread, people just aren't as willing to bake their own bread. Thus, Homemade Bread Day aims to inspire people to take up the tradition of bread baking again and lay off the pre-made loaves and rolls for just a day. While baking bread is a tedious process, the resulting loaves and rolls are well-worth it. Help us celebrate this amazing tradition by baking, and you can find a healthy whole wheat recipe here.
