A classic childhood snack As summer approaches, people are bound to be going on vacations. What better way to bring fruit on the go and satisfy your fruit craving than with this simple yet timeless fruit leather recipe!
Prep time: 30 min | Inactive time: 0 min | Cook time: 6 hr 20 min | # of servings: 2 pans worth Ingredients
4 cups strawberry, halved, hulled (or any other fruit of your choice)
2 tablespoons honey
Gather all ingredients.
Preheat oven to 150-200˚F (depends on how low your oven can go)
Place strawberries in a pot and cook at low heat until soft and juices have been released. Add honey and stir until combined
Pour berries into blender and puree. Line 2 flat baking sheets with parchment paper.
Optional: Pass mixture through a colander to remove seeds.
Evenly pour a thin layer of mixture onto baking sheets.
Put in oven and bake for 6-10 hours or until leather peels away easily from parchment. Cut the leather and paper together into long, narrow strips. Finally, roll leather and paper up.
